OK with the news of Flossy definitely out I need to change my selections

Out - Astbury, Vlaustin, Cotchin(inj), Vickery, Grigg

In - Grimes, Arnot, Miles, Petterd, Thomas

I would prefer the likes of Petterd and Grimes to have earned their spots through outstanding performances at VFL level but we need Petterd for his contested marking and versatility instead of Vickery who looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane and Arnot for his attack on the ball and inside work over rather than Grigg whose role is almost obsolete now as an uncontested ball magnet.

Grimes is a direct swap for Astbury and Miles and Thomas are contested ball machines which we desperately need.

I'd keep Chaplin to have him embarrassed by Cameron, Boyd or Patton.
He can then have a permanent holiday in the twos.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Astbury has to come out also  ;) so who replaces chaplin and Astbury in backline? Otherwise I dont have a problem with the intent on the ins.  :thumbsup

grimes to play the chaplin role ffs we have a 195cm/100kg bloke who cant play 1v1 and worse is not expected to.
for astbury give elton a game has played some footy down back  is a great size and if it doesnt work out we can possibly swap griffiths back and send elton fwd.
dea for vlastuin, helbig for houli. azza edwards yeah that wont go down well for vickery. miles for grigg. thomas for s edwards.

In the mix: round 10

RICHMOND
Rookie Anthony Miles is available to be promoted to the senior list for the rest of the season, and form suggests he should be selected immediately against his former club Greater Western Sydney. The midfielder has been the best-performed player for Tigers' VFL team this season, turning in another superb performance at the weekend with 31 possessions. Matt Thomas (31 and 10 clearances) also put his hand up to return for his first game since round five if captain Trent Cotchin (ankle) is unavailable. Ricky Petterd (28) was effective across half-back. Coach Damien Hardwick has suggested ruckman Ivan Maric is still two weeks away from returning at AFL level after resuming in the VFL.

For me Griffiths efforts last week were putrid. I would play him in the ruck this week for 90% of the day. Make the lazy pr!ck run and get fit. Run him into the ground and teach him that last week is not acceptable. If he gets hurt, he gets hurt. It's not like he is up against Will Minson.

Drop Vickory and play Elton. He can change with Griff that 10% in the ruck but mostly up forward.
Miles plays, Arnot plays and Thompson plays, all in the middle. At the very least they will have a crack. Grimes, Helbig and Dea come in too.

Grigg, Ellis, Houli, Hampson get dumped
Astbury and Vlastuin injured.

Just make a statement Dimma, nobody really cares who they are and who comes in, the season is over, you have nothing to loose now. It's not even a tough decision now, it's the only one.

What gets me with Dimma is he was tough as nails as a player, where is that now, he just puts up with weak efforts from blokes.

Unfortunately the Coach is in denial. I have this horrible feeling he won't make any real meaningful changes apart from the forced changes. It would be good if he showed some courage in the selections. In Arnot Helbig Grimes, Miles, Elton and O'Hanlon. Out Astbury(inj), Vlas(inj), Houli, Grigg, Hampson and Edwards. Should only play two talls in the forwardline. Griff in ruck Vickery as back up. Hope Cotch pulls up.

Hardwick like most coaches in a similar position will be still holding on to the slim hope that his favourites will finally rise to the occasion and turn the season around. After we lose to GWS I think he will remove his rose coloured glasses, throw them to the ground and stomp on them continuously. Following that we might get to see some of the changes we have wanted for some time i.e usual suspects Grigg, Chaplin, Edwards, Vickery etc. etc.
