WTF ISNT ARNOT PLAYING, YOU PATHETIC RSSENDON DOG?!?!?!

Arnott is not playing because he is not good enough. He is just bash and crash. Thats it. Doesn't offer anything else. He needs to become good at something else to become an AFL standard player. He is just ok at VFL level. Get with the times. Your thinking and general disrespect for everyone may have been acceptable 30 years ago but its not acceptable today.

Mate, with the crap, gay assed football that they've been playing, I'd welcome John Howatt back.

Yes, I agree we have been playing soft football. But in my opinion, Arnott is a tough player but he lacks the talent to make it in the AFL. When I look at our list, I think the biggest issue at Richmond is a lack of class and raw talent. We have too many average players with average skills who are not mentally tough enough. A lot things went right last year and we over achieved.

I disagree that he's one dimensional and think he's been very good in the VFL for the last twelve months. May not be Joel Selwood but he's ultimately got more to offer than the likes of Thomas. He can win it and generally use it, he can kick it, has good football nouse and as Coach Phil said, he moves well.  Hasn't put in any eye-catching performances in his limited senior appearances but hasn't exactly turned in any shockers either, done a couple of good things and hasn't looked overawed.

I think he'll be an upgrade on the "crash and bash" players we've had in the past, and needs a fair run at it, not a game here and two games there. Should be getting the games we're wasting on Thomas. We supposedly got Thomas for depth and he should be Arnot's cover, not the other way around.

You might be right but why don't we give him a guaranteed block of 6-7 games and tell him to show us what he's got. Why not.
Morris is crash and bash and not much else but gets a game. Maybe there's only room for one of these types.

This side is shocking. Jackson and Conca are in our top tacklers, the last thing we need is both of them out against a quick side.
Hampson is a Carlton reserves reject playing first ruck for Richmond. Maric who has not offered anything since 2012 and looks miles away is 2nd ruck. What a disaster, neither of them should be playing, go in with Griffiths and Vickery, less tapouts but a much more mobile ruck combo, rather than carry all of these dinosaurs and get nothing around the ground from them.

Doesn't listen either. Main problem is he strays from the game plan

Have to disagree. Arnot deserves a recall for a number of reasons. Firstly his last two games for the VFL side have been very good. I watched him closely during the Werribee game and he was one of the few to shine. He is clearly up to AFL standard. Secondly his attack on the football is badly needed at the senior level. He is not a crash and bash player he is a player who can win contested football and use it which as you would be well aware the senior side is badly lacking at the moment.

No Gordon against a team that always kills us with pace. Smart.

No Arnot.  :banghead

Like I said - on the outer. Cards are marked.

I hope Arnot's cards are not marked. Unfortunately Gordon's form in the VFL side has been very poor but I agree with you about need for quick players in side particularly given where playing.

Dunno but the arnot/Thomas example is a dam good point

Hardwick strategy should have been attempt to build a good team predominantly from the draft. Mature rookies are fine as long as the don't cost too much (Chaplin) are poo (grigg) or they should be back up for the kids. Not first choice. (Ala arnot/Thomas)
