No disrespect to King, thanks for the service but if this club is serious it is time to start letting go of blokes like King and Newman whether they want to play on or not.

if the club is true to its word there will only be about 5 changes, i take that to mean rookies as well.
people had better get the ky gel out and apply plenty to their rear ends  because if they think newman and king will be cut  they are going to get royally reamed.

cmon people you know its true, you can just see it happening after all its richmond.

Unfortunately santa I fear you are once again on the money.

Which is why the Hackson/Hartley/Hardwick/Richardson cartel of incompetence needs to be replaced ASAP.

Let's face it Newman has more ability in his left nut than King so he would need them both to be staying on to get a gig and that just isn't happening.

i think that's a misconception

Career wise I mean, not just this moment in time.

Besides his many shortcomings.
At least he was one of the very few players that we as supporters can truly say wasn't soft.

What exactly has he done in the last two and a half years to demonstrate it's worth giving with him another year and denying a spot to a kid?

you still need experienced players in a team to play along side the younger players or they might turn into a team of floggers

Experienced at what? Losing?  Means stuff all if they're past it.  Not like him & Newman are N.Riewoldt, Hayes, Fletcher, Chapman, Gia & Murphy who were/are all quality players that have seen regular finals and won big games. We've got enough blokes who've played over 100 games now and thanks to our genius list managers the side isn't even that young anymore.

Agreed, veteran champs can hang around for a couple of years, veteran soldiers need to be moved on.

supporters ike bo more than happy with the out put and performance of blokes like king. seems the club are too.

the simple fact is jake kings performances and standard does not warrant a contract if truth be told he has never ever really played consistently well enough to warrant a contract.

once again i blame the recruiters. for how long have we needed a quality sml fwd yet for for 9 yrs the best we have come up with is jake king. there is no need to wonder why we dont get anywhere.
unfortunately they are likely to hang onto such an underperforming player because he currently is the best option. what a shemozzle eh.

dont worry about it anymore claw. mate its not worth the hassle believe me. I reached the point a while ago where I dont care what they do cause its not worth the worry. Next year will be the first year in such a long time that I wont be a member and Im looking forward to doing other things on weekends rather than worrying about whether Richmond wins or loses. From what I know I wont be the only one, the clubs gonna get a shock next year when thousands dont renew their membership but thats all they deserves. They treated the supporters and the members like shizen for years. Why should we worry about those bozos at the club, we dont owe them anything. Stuff'm.
