Agreed Smokey but I think they changed tact about 6 weeks ago and it is only now that we are starting to see the benefits.
They played really well today and kept it up the entire game.
If that's the standard they have set for the rest of the season, then 2014 isn't a complete loss.

I'm not saying we will finish 9th and I don't want to but neither do I want to limp through the next few weeks.

I also hope to see a few more younger players in the seniors - players like McBean, Helbig, McDonuts and Lennon will complement to current team as Lloyd did today.

It removes the list cloggers from the seniors and gives our team purpose with young players who will improve the game plan.

There are a few buts, we all know that.
It's that simple Spud

GO TIGES, more of this sort of stuff kk thanks.  Great to see Vickery stick a few marks and bust a pack.  Some gutsy contested work by everyone today.  Hope concs bonce isn't shattered after the broadside from the port boofhead.

Don't mind Lloyds knack for finding space and shifting his defender off of himself either, he is a clever prick.  Will get better with more games imo.

By far the most complete performance from the boys this season. Their strength at the contest really stood out to me today as well as their 2 way running and more direct style of play.

Did better at the one on ones today, seemed to have finally worked out how to defensively hold the ball up or get it out to a spare player moving forward. Still making bizarre turnovers that just kill us but the difference today was our pressure made Port turnover just as often and we made them pay. Three on the trot is still a good effort regardless of the opposition but today was our most complete four quarter effort. One postscript, the coaches need to pay special attention to the bad kicking technique Martin seems to have picked up lately, seems to want to kick from the side of the ball and had a couple of shocking shanks, i think from memory both turned out well but just something that needs looking at.

9 points....OH RFC....how could you!!!! :lol
Your suprised???

Where have you been???

I know how they roll hence the.... :lol
Sorry mate. I didn't see it.

Stand by for a port onslaught in the last.

You'll see them play us man on man and kill us in contested possession and run.
The marshmallows will start crying and the players will show how much they love Rance or Jack.

My prediction is port by 22 points.

......the coach will do more of this.  :huh3

I am hearing you...

I'm sure you're both shattered, poor darlings. Perhaps you can console yourselves with a bottle of chardy, a box of tissues and watch the Sleepless in Seattle movie.  ;D

At least they have each other to cuddle and console each other

Agree best four quarter effort by the boys for the season.
Exposed their lack of height in defence and even after Conca was stretchered off and they looked threatening held them at bay for the remainder of the third and dictated early in the last to stretch the lead and despite Matty White's goal and the continual threat of their run/pace and ability to transition and go coast to coast we adapted and applied ourselves well.

Rance was King today. :thumbsup
