Vain Campbell's Tiger career

Throw boot on ball without looking. Rinse. Repeat. Threaten to leave Richmond. Get extra $$$. Rinse. Repeat

I would think  he would look back on his career and feel a bit unfulfilled.  Richmond was a poor performing and divided club during his time. He probably could have left and played finals elsewhere, collingwood, brisbane, essendon etc  But he stayed and he was arguably our best midfielder for a while along with Knights. Pity I dont think they got along.  I think as a person he appears  divisive but he tried to fix up a wreck of a club and he saw it for the wreck it was. In a stronger club with better coaches he might just have been one of the good players and on field leaders,  but not Captain.

But we are the Tiges and History is History, at least he stuck it out and we should honor him for that at the least.

If anyone can paraphrase his interview it would be appreciated.

Dont eorry I found the link

Bit harsh from somebody who has harsh  opinions on nearly everybody at the club currently.

So it ok for you to bag everbody but I cant say " I didnt rate  Campbell. "   I leave it there as I dont need to add insults to my posts.

Campbell was a gun. A great of the RFC. Just a shame not enough of his teammates had anywhere near his level of ability or professionalism. Good on him for playing 297 ultra consistent games at one club.
