I would think he would look back on his career and feel a bit unfulfilled. Richmond was a poor performing and divided club during his time. He probably could have left and played finals elsewhere, collingwood, brisbane, essendon etc But he stayed and he was arguably our best midfielder for a while along with Knights. Pity I dont think they got along. I think as a person he appears divisive but he tried to fix up a wreck of a club and he saw it for the wreck it was. In a stronger club with better coaches he might just have been one of the good players and on field leaders, but not Captain.
But we are the Tiges and History is History, at least he stuck it out and we should honor him for that at the least.
