Collingwood 70-80k members on the back of a recent premiership, we've passed the Hawks who have gone b2b, they'll need to build another 100,000 seats at the G if we have success in the next few years.

Our club is clearly the number 1 organisation in the AFL when it comes to spin and pr. Look at the recruiting video they put up - it doesn't say anything but the supporters are excited because the club looks as though its trying to engage with the supporters, I have to hand it to Benny Gale and his team, they are guns when it comes to this sort of thing and that's reflected in membership numbers, Richmond has perfected the art of "Communicating" with supporters. Its why we have the membership numbers we have and why Carlton is stuffed. The good aspect of this is however that the money and power being generated from this club supporter axis will help the club get to its next premiership. Well done to them and if the team gets of to a good start then they'll be hanging from the rafters.

Those sorts of goals are great, but I guess the most important thing is focusing on really high levels of service and giving our fans a sense of involvement in our club, and keeping them informed and entertained. That’s all part of what we do and, if we continue to get record numbers as an outcome, then so be it.  But it’s terrific . . . really proud.”

if it's indeed 7000 new members so far this year then it's massive....we should expect to get well above 70k for sure.

10,000 haven't renewed yet from last year - good opp to grow further if we can get some of those to renew
