No surprises there. None of them were playing senior footy this year and weren't going to be part of our future.

You'd expect now we will go after another ruckman to put on our rookie list.

The question now is will we continue with the moneyball recruiting of mature rookies or go back to using the rookie list to develop youngsters who miss out in the National Draft?

I think O'Hanlon played one game of AFL football this year. Can't remember if Stevenson did. Sad Darrou never got a chance. Glad Arnot not cut but agree could be further cuts. Agree initial cuts were soft decisions.

Stephenson played in the Dogs match IIRC.

Sure did. Did a decent job and was dropped for the big hammer.  :bow

"We’d like to thank all of these players for their hard work during their time at the Richmond football club," football manager Dan Richardson said.

Is there a more insincere testimonial on offer, anywhere?

What were you thinking? Let's humiliate them even further perhaps
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Looking forward to the day where the Melbourne footy manager thanks the players for completely destroying the club.  ;D

So, if Miles,  Thomas and Lloyd get upgrades to the senior list, does that leave just two spots for the draft?

RICHMOND has acted quickly following its elimination final defeat, cutting seven players from its list

I see.

So, they lose another final and then fire everyone in the two's ?

lol

Yep and replace them with people who can play in ones and push our duds into the twos. No point cutting the players in the ones (bar some of them *cough* Newman *cough*) because then we'd have no one who could play.

So, if Miles,  Thomas and Lloyd get upgrades to the senior list, does that leave just two spots for the draft?

Lloyd is already on list proper isn't he? I doubt we'll upgrade Thomas either, it's not like other clubs want to get their hands on him :shh

Id call delisting only 5 players off the main list a shallow cut.

We must think we are close
