The AFL has decided to bring back the NAB Cup formula to three full rounds.

Despite suggestions the league might play 27 NAB Cup games in 27 days, that fixture would be unworkable for clubs keen on consistent breaks in their pre-season program.

The league will play three official rounds of games — up from two and a practice match last year — and while most will be televised the AFL will not play them on consecutive days.

A full round of pre-season games at metropolitan venues on March 20-22 will be played before a vacant weekend leading into the home-&-away season.

I'll be microwaving my membership if we don't win all our games. It'll be my 2009 membership though.
