Perceptions are a funny thing WP.
I think you'll find that the stats tell us a different story.
Maybe that there really isn't much difference between Grigg and Petterd last season.  :shh

Argh Yes, Stats. Those things that can tell any story you want them to tell. Hence, why I don't read much into them. I put much credence on what I witness first hand on the field.

And based on that there is a missive difference between Petterd & Grigg

And you are certainly right about perceptions

Great post WP  :clapping

I think Petterd buys into the basketball type defensive pressure that you see Hardwick is trying to emulate and does it well.
He also grinds his opponent into the turf after he tackles them or will occasionally give them a jumper shake or two after he has buried them in the dirt. I like this and it should be compulsory at Richmond.
Yes his kicking is iffy, should be FP where if he gets 10 kicks a game and 6 of them were shots at goal, you'd be happy, whereas 25 touches off a HBF you're not actually getting the best out of him there imv.

Petterd's best returns as a forward with Melbourne included 4 goals (several times) and 14 tackles (against us)...as a defender under the Hardwick gameplan he's more likely to give you 4 tackles and 14 turnovers.

Those of you who think you've taken the high road in condemning the honesty of

Would you wish the same on any Richmond football players?

I actually don't wish it on anyone, I literally just redid my pcl the other week which peeed me off.  Not as bad as an ACL unless you do a full tear through but stops me running and affected my aikido.  At the end of the day, it is just a sport, not war and these injuries last you a lifetime, mine tore because it was damaged in a motorbike accident in the past.  His knee is always gonna be that bit more vulnerable, he has youth on his side but he is going to be compromised because of it.  Plus he is good player and not a jerk.
