yeah I agree and I wrote it in the other thread. McCartney is a good coach and a good bloke and if we can afford we should get him in to support Dimma and the other coaches.

i think worrying about getting macca down to the club should be the last thing on our plate we need to look at the list and the players on the list coaches don't play the game these 22 each week do.... waste of money

“Macca acknowledged that observation and he promised to work on it, and the fact of the matter is he has worked on it, really hard.

“But it’s also fair to say we were concerned and Macca himself was concerned about whether the position itself was recoverable.

yep, lets race out and get a coach who has been shown the door for failing in the most fundamental area a coach needs to competent, at the bare minimum, in.

On the otherhand  he's been a very highly regarded assistant in the past at geelong and the bombers. Won the assistant coach of the year award by the coaches association in 2010. Just bc he failed at the bulldogs doesnt make him a dud.
