The draw is irrelevant.
If we're good enough we'll win enough games to play finals.
If we're good enough those finals will be played at our home ground.

This =  :clapping :clapping

Playing hawthorn twice vs playing saints twice is not irrelevant it is in fact very relevant

Disagree, if you are good side and believe your are a good team who you play and how many times you play them is not relevant, you will beat them regardless.

We supposedly had a soft draw in 2014 and for the first 14 weeks it made little difference

Would hate to think you have the excuses lined up already  ;D

Feel free to disagree. But you are wrong. A league where you  can play the #1 team twice and the #18 team once is horseshyte. One team plays Burnley twice and Chelsea once?  It'd be laughed at in professional sports world wide. Amateur hour. The 'if you are good enough you will win anyway' mantra is neive, childish and rather stupid.

I agree - the draw and competition is compromised - play each other once only as playing each other twice is not realistic given time and seasonal constraints with cricket grounds

In your opinion.

A league where you  can play the #1 team twice and the #18 team once is horseshyte.
You mean the #1 team from last season ?  And the #18 team from last season ?
Ok nostradumbarse , give me the final ladder positions for all teams for 2015 and I'll go and plonk $100,000 on it since you seem to know which teams are going to be good and which ones aren't.
Every team would've been licking their lips at drawing Port twice before season 2013 wouldn't they coz Port were a disaster in 2012. They made the eight in 2013 and won more games than they lost.

The 'if you are good enough you will win anyway' mantra is neive, childish and rather stupid.

Naive , childish and stupid ? lmao.  Give me a break !
It's simple , if you're good enough you'll win. A child could understand that.

It is not IMO. it is logic and done everywhere else. Do small teams in Spain play Madrid and Barcelona more times than other small teams. No cause it'd be stupid and obviously unfair.

I mean that it'd be preferable to play the  wooden spoon winner twice and the premier once. I can say this safely without being a Nostradamus.

Port example is poor as you have chosen the aberration

Wrong? Why because I don't agree with you.

I have given my opinion, which I'm entitled to give. You don't agree with me and that's fine but to say I'm wrong is ridiculous

I am not disputing the fixture is compromised has been since the comp expanded from 12 teams.

It is what it is.

But to sook and moan about how tough it is, how tough it is going to be, how unfair it is; is making excuses before a game has been played

Please refer to Dice's comment on the this, he nails it. I could add more but I won't

Why?. Because you say so?

I am not wrong, I simply don't agree with you and you don't agree with me.

Biggest difference is I won't say you are wrong. I'm just saying I don't agree with you.

Dunno about that ? Every season one or two teams make the finals after not making them the previous year.
Maybe we're just on a different wave length Judge ? Are GWS gonna be terrible next year ? Brisbane ? The Bulldogs ? I'm not sure ? Have a look at Hawthorn last year. They had what was considered a tough draw and they got belted with injuries too. They won the flag by 10 goals. Why ? Coz they were too good for everyone else. They won at home , they won away , they won in Tassie and I'm sure if they'd played in in Khazakstan they would've won there too.
Anyway , all good Judge. I'm watchin the cricket at the moment and at 3/450 I think I might have to switch to a movie instead. 3/450 !! What the hell ?

Allow me to word fit this way.

Given the choice; does club x want to play richmond or hawthorn two times, not one time, say next year?
