lets be brutally honest here this is a top 4 draw if we are being serious, which we will find a way to screw up.

We are not challenged by this draw in any way shape or form

If we are being brutally honest, this is a tough draw.
We play sides that we struggle against.
Roos, Freo, Pies..... Even the Bombers and Blues are sides we have ordinary records against.

Playing Demons, Saints, Lions, Giants and Crows would've been a Top 4 draw.

It is a money making draw, particularly if we can win 12-14 games next year.
Boy, will the first 6 games be interesting.

I have to ask the question.
Why is playing Norf at Etihad considered a home game for US?
Isn't it THEIR HOME GROUND?

i don't agree. Its time they stood up and stop being pussy's like they have been this is an easy draw.

already drumming up excuses because we have bogey sides that are rubbish like pies and blues.

We dont face cats much to the delight of WP and the rest should be all gettable wins if we want to be really serious.

The AFL has to play so many "40k capable" games at Etihad and every year we cop this one  :scream. Yep thanks AFL for giving North two home games against us  :huh  ::) .

Agree Y&B. It'll be a fantastic marketing draw if the onfield results can back it up. That's why Benny Gale is understandably ecstatic. If the onfield results can't back it up though then it could get very ugly  :-\.

So what's the bet once the two expansion teams come good and start crushing everybody, we'll finally start being drawn to play them twice a year? Seriously, are there any other clubs that haven't played at least one of them twice in a year yet?

If we haven't won at least 3 of the first four games the poo will be hitting the fan real early

You're right AH that it should be time we stand up and successfully take on such a draw. However, I was trying to be realistic given we have continually failed to beat the likes of Geelong, Collingwood, North and Gold Coast irrespective of their form and position on the ladder. I guess I'm saying the team needs to win these games until I believe they can. As supporters we've been let down far too often in these games against these clubs. The losses to the Dogs and Dees and even so meekly putting up zero resistance against Port in the final have yet to confirm my trust our ability to perform when it counts and overcome any mental fragilities.

Agree Chucky. The first 4 rounds are crucial. We need a good start to 2015. Stuff it up like this year and it'll be good night nurse.

It's not an excuse, it's a fact. It's a tough draw for us.
If we are good enough, we will play finals and deserve to be there.

If this is an easy draw wtf is a draw where we play Demons, Bulldogs, Saints, GWS and Lions twice?
I'd say it's a tougher draw than 2014.

Essendon cops rough 2015 AFL fixture; Richmond and Carlton enjoy favourable draws, writes Jay Clark
Herald-Sun
October 30, 2014 1:09PM

Richmond is laughing, again.

The Tigers were given the second most favourable draw last year, according to Champion Data.

Next season Richmond will surely get off to a red-hot start against Carlton, the Dogs, Melbourne and the Lions.

It gets harder in the run home, with matches scheduled against Hawthorn, Fremantle, Gold Coast, Essendon and North Melbourne, but the Tigers should set things up by the bye.

They play 14 games at the MCG.
