Neither have achieved that much so far, they are only both now developing consistency in their play and should have their best footy ahead of them.

Have a good season this year and the negotiations should look after themselves.

If they leave so be it and you move on to someone else. That's footy now.
watch out son you do realise who you are criticising here. can i take that to mean you think both are duds.

personally on subject, my opinion remains the same for why these blokes are yet to resign.they are both chasing success and they are not convinced we are on the path to a premiership.the players know where we are at they arent stupid.
me i think they are waiting to see how the yr pans out.if we have a poor one i think they will target clubs who can give em the best shot at a flag.

I've heard Dustin is all but signed and it is all under control. Still hoping that is correct as it only says Rance has put talks off.

He'd feel just like a lot of our others players then.

All jokes aside I would like to see both sign ASAP. Regardless of what the players say, the club says, or any of us members say it will impact negatively on our season and affect the playing group. All teams that have had their top players leave said at some point it did affect them. None more so than Ablett.

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

Chaplin didn't do much to hose it down this morning on SEN. Probably in his own interests for Rance to move on. ::)
Can't stand listening to Troy in the media. Always feel he's positioning himself for a gig post footy.

KB: Richmond need Rance to keep flag hopes
Melanie Maizels
SEN

AUDIO: https://soundcloud.com/sen1116/kbs-take-on-alex-rance-contract-talks-with-richmond

Bartlett believes Richmond needs Rance to stay at Punt Road if they have any chance of winning a premiership.

“Rance is arguably Richmond’s most important player. He’s needed if the tigers are to win a flag," he said.

“Rance is a unique full-back key defender; he plays the ball on his merits and turns defense into attack. He’s a big ball winner for his position and generates run. He makes his teammates be proactive.”

Bartlett said it will be a nervous year for Brendan Gale and the “backroom men” at Punt Road.

“I shudder to think when names like Ablett, Franklin, Goddard, Frawley and Scully all put talks on hold,” he said.

“Fremantle is hot to trot for the West Australian.”
