would not be surprised to see cotchin at hawthorn and rance at freo.
players arent fools i think success becomes a key issue for players with pride. imo  they will hold off and wait and see how the coming season unfolds. poor yr and they are out the door and who could blame em if they did go.

hawthorn 23yrs 349 days. their premiership side or best 22  averaged 26yrs 294days.
richmond 24yrs 54 days. our losing elimination final side ave 25yrs 67days.
fremantle 24yrs 132 days. freos losing semi final side ave 26yrs 58 days.
there is very little  between the ages of the three lists. but there is a gap slight gap between best 22 sides or finals sides.

ive gone to the start of the yr because of delistings and incomplete lists . but before a ball was kicked  this yr hawthorn had the younger list.when lists are complete at the end of the rookie draft this yr  it wont change much. if cotchin and rance were looking at age demographics to determine where they go  its neither here nor there which is basically the point being made and correcting an erronous assertion.

while not complete, this is a much better way to look at it rather than by average age.

average ages in such a small sample is too easily influenced by extremes. breaking down into certain age groups gives a much more accurate picture.

My stats were taken as of the first round if delistings. Tell me how can Hawthorns average go up by a whole year when they have lost one 30yo amoung others yet ours goes down a year when we only delist kids?? I think your pulling those stats straight out of your ar$e!!!

O'h and just to add to it, isn't your argument that Cotch will want to go to Hawthorn because they have a younger list at the end if next season??
Then why are you pulling list ages from the start of this season? Even if half of there over 30's retire this year they will still be older than us.
