59. Adelaide - Matthew Goodyear (D.O.B. 20/07/1996, Height: 185 cm, Weight: 77 kg, Calder Cannons)

Extremely athletic medium midfielder with elite speed, endurance, awareness and elite hands in traffic. His drive and rebound from half-back as well as through the midfield often breaks the game open. He was purely an outside player in 2013 but has worked hard this year to the point where his inside/outside spread is 50/50. Averaged 21.3 disposals per game from his 15 TAC Cup appearances for Calder Cannons including featuring in the bests 10 times as he did much of the grunt and clearance work in the centre of the ground. Starred for Vic Metro against Vic Coutry in the National Championships racking up 23 disposals, nine contested possessions, seven inside 50’s and five clearances before copping an injury which limited his game time in his other two matches for Vic Metro. Weakness is his inconsistency in disposal by foot which is why he'll slip to a late pick but given his attitude and demonstration over the past 12 months to improve his game and turn weaknesses into strengths, he'll be an attractive proposition to develop for the club that drafts him.

Nathan Drummond

The inside word
Medium midfielder with good speed and elite endurance. Played well as a 19-year-old in two matches in NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, averageing 15 disposals in two appearances. Played 12 games for Murray Bushrangers at TAC Cup level, averaging 26 touches and kicking 11 goals. A standout at the NAB AFL Draft Combine, finishing first in the clean hands test (26/30) and second in both the repeat sprint (23.95 sec) and beep test (level 15.9). Was equal-second in the kicking test (27/30), goalkicking test (25/30) and standing vertical jump (76cm), fifth in both the running vertical jump (90cm) and 3km time trial (9:59) and equal-sixth in the 20m sprint (2.93 sec).

Pick 61 - Carlton

Sean McLaren
197cm - 92kg - Tall Defender/Ruckman/Tall Forward
Kept Hugh Goddard quiet when playing as a key defender. He could be useful as key defender/key forward depth for Carlton. Is athletic for a big guy.

62. Essendon     Rookie promotion - Patrick Ambrose
63. Brisbane         Academy selection - Harris Andrews
64. W.Bulldogs      Father-Son -          Zaine Cordy

Pick 65. Carlton

Aidan Anderson

182cm - 83kg - Half Forward/Small Forward
Aidan Anderson is a good smaller forward type doesn't solely rely on roving or crumbing to snag a goal, he can lead up and take a mark or take a strong grab in a one on one. Has a very strong body already at 182cm and 83kg, much like many other young WA boys who have had WAFL experience.

Pick 67 - Brisbane

DECLAN HAMILTON - North Adelaide
HT: 182cm
WT: 68kg

Plays off HB, great ball user and a nephew of the Jarman brothers. Played nearly every game at the national championship and is considered a "bolter" on this year draft

Pick 68- Hawthorn Promoted Rookie Zac Webster

Pick 69 West Coast- Brenden Abbott (Claremont)

Played 15 senior matches for Claremont in the WAFL this year. Kicked 18 goals playing predominantly up forward, including a bag of five and a bag of four. Strong-bodied aggressive forward with a ferocious attack on the ball. He's capable of taking a strong mark and is a thumping left-foot kick. Would make a bullocking midfielder at AFL level but there are question marks over his fitness and discipline. However, he did apply himself well at Claremont this season.

Pick 70 Richmond Michael Manteit

I was tempted to pass and hope for a mature age player in the pre season draft but will stick with youth as the club said they wished to invest in the draft.
Manteit has forged his early reputation by doing the little things coaches love. While the medium-sized defender reads the ball well and can drop off his man to influence contests, his desire to do the team things _ chasing, tackling and spoiling _ make him a favourite of teammates and the coaching staff. Has played predominantly at half-back where he can use his good kicking skills to set-up attacking forays from defence.

Pick 73 Port Adelaide

Dougal Howard (Murray Bushrangers)

Tall Forward

Age: 18, Height: 195cm, Weight: 88kg

Key point: Excellent target inside 50, overhead marking is a strength.

Hope we get Abbott and he rips it up - if only to see '65 & Judge say something positive about Abbott.
