Simple fact is for a big time club we don't make enough appointments that make people sit up and take notice.

Probably bc we're not a big time club anymore

Supporter numbers say that's not true mate. We do our bit year in year out, do they?

We are a dumb footy club and never proactive to get ahead of the game. You only have to look at the ludicrous decision to not replace leppa. I suppose they think we are locked and loaded so there's no need for it

Yep - should clarify, supporter wise we are - but we don't act, or perform like a big club

Nope - Balme was out of contract.

He's a 62 year old geriatric who getting his pension from Collingwood. Get over it.
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

How old would you like the director of football - or what the offical position was titled at Geelong and collingwood to be?

Some people just didn't want to come to Richmond.  Too painful.  A lot of em got burned coming back in the past trying to do something for the club and then getting ripped apart by ferals.  Some just weren't died in the wool tiger people and served as employees during their time at the club and moved on despite their fame or notoriety.  Malthouse and Sheedy are both examples of that.  They were never tiger men, they played for us, that is all.

Went to hear Neil talk at my daughters school a few years ago. Always talks about the tigers and his time there which are some of his best football memories. Gets frustrated talking about them too saying they keep doing the wrong things.  I'm sure he would have come if we offered enough money to him but we have already committed to Dan.  People forget how well Dan handled the Dusty fiasco last year and was lauded by the whole football community.  I think we should give him a chance. Blair is the man in the gunsights IMHO.  It is he who grades players and gives the advice who stays and who goes and who we should get.

He didn't really want to leave Geelong.
Collingwood are paying him through the nose - good on him, His heart wont be in it  for long as he will be looking to retirement
I hope he can now afford that operation to extract his fist from various Carlton players heads - He will always be a Tigerman in my book .
