Vic Metro coach David Flood rates Ellis, listed at 186cm and 76kg, as an “unbelievably strong one-on-one mark for a kid of his size”.

Pathetic thread really, no need for it.

how come all the articles say this kid can play when he is clearly a dud?
is everyone in on the conspiracy with the club over this?

Add that to the fact our recruiters rated him as the best kick in the draft and..pfft...he should just pack up and head to the scrap yard.

Ellis suffered a stress fracture in his foot this season but will be fit for the pre-season.

“We rated him as the best kick in the draft — he has outstanding composure and is a brilliant decision-maker,” recruiting boss Francis Jackson told the Herald Sun.

Probably, as far as they were concerned.

I personally think the thread title and op is just the work of poo. It's perfect fair and reasonable to have a view - the reality there is a case for and against almost all the time on draft night but the ways it's written is ordinary. Its just unnecessary to write in the way about a kid whose just had probably the best night of his life. Like it or not a 17 yo might read this forum to see how posters view his being drafted to the club and I reckon your thread would've taken the gloss off it. It's 5h1te form.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
