Reckon he'd be a gun in 1987.
why 87 why not now.
have you looked at the height and size of the better performed kpfs in the comp
franklin cloke walker, podsiadlly, brown, pavlich, lynch, patton petrie and on it goes.
just about every club has a tall fwd of mckenzies height and sizearound the 195cm/100kg mark. at last we at least have one on our list.
i find it amazing that you think these types are a thing of the past when the reality is blokes around mckenzies height and size have been and continue to be the better fwds in the game.
me i m pleased we finally have one like him now we need to see if he can play at the level.
Look at the other attributes those players have like Franklins agility and clokes tank etc. IF and I mean IF he has no tank and little agility and is purely a lead and mark player he may struggle but in 1987 he would've been a gun :thumbsup. See how well his tank develops and hopefully we can get him in the team nice and early and see how he goes, I reckon he's got the tools to be a beauty
He had a beep test of 13.2 which is pretty good for someone his size.  He is a top basketballer and so has great lateral movement which is required in the game.

That's why I emphasised the 'if' because I've heard varying things. I heard about his beep test but not from a valid source (could look it up probably) but also heard he has poor endurance from other invalid sources. Was more just backing up the comment that he'd be a gun in 1987.
i think one of the knocks on him has nothing to do with not having physical attributes.

he has only kicked bags of goals  against weaker teams and against players where his size has given him a big advantage. i believe the concern here is when he gets to afl his size wont be such an advantage and he will have to really develop other areas of his game.

me i cant see why his game wont develop. like most kids they have to build a tank and most succeed. he is agile and he is quick enough hes already big he wont lose any of this.
at pick 77 im asking what is there to lose.

we should have been looking at these types with late nd picks and rookie picks or our fair share anyway for ages now,  and we havent.

id be over the moon if we rookied tyler kietel im shocked he was not drafted, mckenzie and kietel would round out our tall fwd stocks and give us at least one of all tall fwd types on the list.
i was filthy wce took lamb at 32 i was hoping we would be looking at him.im also filthy they took jackson nelson at 51  both the pick before ours.

to me our tall fwd stocks now go

mckenzie kpf 195/100 power fwd , riewoldt kpf 195/94 can play third tall  or chf  if we wish. unlike most i like his smarts up the ground.
we need one more and the type we dont have is the third tall type thats why i was hoping tom lamb 193 80 somthing   would get to us kietel fits the bill as well 194/ 86??.

ruck/fwd vickery 200/98, griffiths 200/102,  mcbean 202/93, i am hoping that one of these three will become a decent tall fwd. i lean toward griffiths atm because of his marking ability.
the other two id be going all out to find a maric replacement in the ruck.i would still like to see mcbean given games in defense.

For me I'm hoping for McKenzie at FF. Jack either forward pocket or half forward flank. Griffiths CHF/ruck relief.

Martin opposite pocket. Deledio opposite flank. Then just need a proper crumbing small.

Gee he takes a very good contested mark and I really like his kicking style, he looks great at set shots, very composed.

What were his goal kicking stats this year?? or stats in a full season, goals versus points.

 :huh :huh :huh

When you use twitter you have a limited number of characters per tweet. People abbreviate or manipulate words to get the message across.

Kid tweeted

"honored to be apart"?

When it should be "honoured to be a part..."

Just suggesting he's manipulated/abbreviated words to get his message across
