This routine he has where he turns his back to goal and then play on and go for a snap is perplexing. I know back in the day it was there to get a second head start on the opposition running into smother the kick, but with the new protected zone it’s just not necessary.

You would say if it works for him then run with it but it clearly doesn’t.

I don't think it is his routine. During preseason he was working on straight line drop punts. Seems under game pressure he's returned to old bad habits that don't work  .

That last goal attempt summed him up perfectly and the club, coaching staff deserve everything they get for continuing to play him.
