Dimma is spot on. Lambo makes us a much better side.
Hopefully the Champ can keep going for a while yet.

Yeah I thought if we could get 3-4 game blocks out of him he was still worth a 1 year contract extension given how important he is to our system. But if he’s taking breaks after every 1-2 games I’d say he’d be hanging it up at seasons end. Hopefully he can get his body right for one last finals run.

Week by week is not enough.

I'll say it again hang them up Kane. Thank you and look after yourself now.

Assuming it's his hip again, this definitely has to be his last season.

Central to us winning 3 premierships--now he should think about his family and his future. He'd want to be kicking the Auskick ball around with his kids pain-free (especially if we're to get some father-sons).

Like another poster said, hopefully we can manage him through one last finals series and who knows?

Thanks, Kane, but take care of yourself now.  :clapping

lol what a dumb statement and aimed at the non thinkers.

Of course when he plays we win most games. The exact same can be said of nearly all players from 2015 onwards thats the year he started.

Fmd can say the same about McIntosh Castagna broad, Graham Short Baker Rioli and all the premiership players.

Thats the past though and now has little relevance to now. last year he played 13 games and we won just 5

Im with others here yes hes been very good for us but he is not the reason we have won so many games since 2017 in particular.

His GF is Herb Elliott's granddaughter.  Imagine the endurance genetics those kids would have!

It’s not about the total wins they’ve played in, it’s the difference in our win/loss ratio when they play as opposed to when they don’t. And lamberts differential is clearly the highest in our team. So no, not an idiotic comment that only us ‘idiots’ would accept. Try a bit of humility from time to time, will do you wonders.

You’re joking right? In our premiership years he was our main conduit and link up player. Not to mention he would comfortably cover the most kms out of all players and run hardest offensively and defensively. He’s not Dustin Martin but he’s still a jet

Have known Kane since he ran around in Auskick on Preston City Oval. Absolutely quality person who dedicated himself to being the best player and person he could, and reaped the rewards of 3 flags, RFC life membership and the admiration of all Richmond people, and the wider AFL community.

Congrats on a stellar career, and all the best in retirement from the game. Hopefully he goes into coaching.

Ultimate professional and team player. Have loved having him and watching his career.

Glad he has retired though, given the circumstances, and I hope he gets his hip sorted (replaced) so that he can live some sort of life after footy.

Kane “everywhere” Lambert.

A Richmond Champion, A Champion Person, A Champion Attitude to Life.

A player favourite and an important key to all 3 Premierships.

Thank you Lambo Man, the everywhere man.
