Don't get too caught up in the media hype.

If he really was so likely to do a miles we (and other clubs) would have been fighting to select him in the draft proper.

Like teams were fighting over Miles?

Yeah..... ::)

Except Miles was never touted as a near certainty to step into the midfield and kick arse by other clubs, including us. We got lucky with how well he developed.

Lambert (now that he's drafted to Richmond) is being hyped as a near certainty to be Miles v2.0. Yeah. Slipped all the way to out of the draft proper to rookie pick 46.....

More hype than hype

What are the odds he even gets a game pushing out a Hardwick favourite? 1 in 10 maybe 1 in 5. I doubt we ever see this guy no matter how good he looks in the 2s.

I wonder why Kane took off as a name but not Abel.

Denis Pagan thrilled the Tigers drafted his 2009 @NthKnights B&F Kane Lambert. 'Nearest thing you'll see to a right-footed Anthony Stevens'

Richmond’s mature-age recruit, Kane Lambert, has earned high praise from the two VFL clubs he played with before arriving at Tigerland via the recent AFL Rookie Draft.

As excited as we all are about Kane Lambert

Assuming Lambert starts in the seconds and considering that Miles was BOG pretty well every week for 8 weeks before he got a run, WHAT will Lambert have to do to get a gig in the ones?
Also Who would he replace, can he be used on the back line, forward line, centre, at 178cm and 78 (ish)kgs
Shane Edwards? is comparable in size but a lot lighter

any ideas??

One of the young (20-something) nephews (or was he a great nephew?) played with Kane in the past.

He reckons he could be the best of our recruits.

But Gen Y think they know it all.

 :lol

Yeah we're already going to vote for him mate, you don't need to keep selling it.....

Had a spare 5 minutes, straight from VFL site

Rd1 Miles 3rd best
Rd2 Miles not named in bests
Rd3 Miles not named in bests
Rd4 Miles 1st Best
Rd5 Miles 1st Best
Rd6 BYE
Rd7 Miles not named in bests
Rd8 Miles not named in bests
Rd9 Miles 2nd Best

I saw all these games except Rd1 & I thought he would have "polled" better that that

Can we elevate rookies before the season starts and if we can, how many can we elevate?
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.
