Hacktivist group Anonymous has issued a chilling warning for al-Qaeda and the Islamic State, promising to avenge the recent attacks in France.

In a four-minute video released via Youtube, the Belgian branch of Anonymous declares war on jihadists under its #OpCharlieHebdo campaign.

"We will track you down - every last one - and will kill you," a figure wearing a Guy Fawkes mask tells the camera in French.

"You allowed yourselves to kill innocent people, we will therefore avenge their deaths."

The spokesperson says that 'hacktivists' from around the world will track jihadist activities online and shut down their social media accounts.

"You will not impose your sharia law in our democracies, we will not let your stupidity kill our liberties and our freedom of expression. We have warned you; expect your destruction."

I think that depends on us a community. If we support it,  it may be the fix. It could also hand them too much power

One problem though. ISIL have just shot down an Aircraft bound for North Korea as according to their intelligence sources it contained groundbreaking communications technology.
