Newman being on our list is a clue as to our clubs mistaken priorities

95% of fans knew that Newman going on another year would be a mistake. Fans who are not on the inside of the club and who aren't paid professionals in the sport.

So there's something wrong when the professionals who have the expertise and access to all the info get it so wrong compared to the outside layperson. Conca over Heppell is another example of this. Hampson for a second round pick is another. We could all list another 6-12 examples.

So Drilling down further, what are these mistaken priorities? Have we overrated our list?  Is it an innocent series of poo decisions? Is it Jobs for mates with performance a secondary priority. Is it structure over substance? Are the powers that be just not cut out for it all? Is it a mixture of them all?

Dooks, they clearly Can't see the forest for the trees.
We should get someone who is respected and external to the club for a thorough review on both on
and off field.
Prove you're accountable Richmond - get someone else to challenge your management rather than patting each other on the back
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Actually Dooks, we were talking about the Newman situation yesterday trying to work out the reason behind giving him another year.

And one thing that came up as this issue regarding our obvious lack of leadership. Someone suggested that maybe he was given another year simply because our leadership is so poor that the powers that be determined rightly or wrongly he could offer something there.

My comment that was that the idea may have merit but leadership can also be shown at the lower level if form doesn't warrant running around in the AFL side.

Sadly that is one of the main problems right now with Newman, his form doesn't warrant AFL games and the club won't drop him and he seems unwilling to put his hand up. So we are now carrying a bloke because he is "held in such high" regard.

They've created a rod for their back and they clearly haven't got either the courage or any idea how to fix it. Sadly IMHO it's the former not the latter

Looks like history repeats its self.
Last year against same team Scott changes things up in third quarter. North piles goals on. Hardwick looks dumbfounded in box. North go on to win by close to same margin.
Stuff I hope pies pants us this week.
Surely then some one needs to make the ultimate call.

By the way, our turnovers per quarter were:

Q1:  1
Q2:  3
Q3:  7
Q4:  4

The competition's average score from opposition turnovers is 50. We almost doubled that average, gifting North 92 pts on the weekend :banghead

I have bagged the processes in place for many years

Bollucks, you were bullish about our prospects at the start of this year. Now all of a sudden you knew we were poo?

I will correct that
I have bagged the process previously
What I witnessed pre season was a distinct change and yes was extremely positive about 2015
After 6 weeks it's all gone down the drain for a moment
I will say Willy , you need to get a life and don't read my posts

I got a life. A damned good one.  I'm just calling you out on your blatant BS.

You went from "big year coming up for us" to "oh I always knew this regime was no good".
Cant have it both ways, mate. At least admit you had it wrong, you're not alone in that respect.

And telling me not to read your posts is about as stupid as it gets on a forum.

Not with our turnovers Bojo. Giving the ball away cheaply we always invariably turn one of the opposition blokes into a champion on the day.
