THE RUN HOME

Rd 16 - Saints ( w)
Rd 17 - Dockers lost 2 of the past 3 to the dockers at the MCG , but I think they have run their race (w)
Rd 18 - Hawks ( L )
Rd 19 - Crows ( w) danger game , but surely Adelaide are gone for the year -understandably
Rd 20 - Suns (w)
Rd 21 - Collingwood , when was the last time we beat them twice in a year 50/50 game (L)
Rd 22- Essendon - percentage booster ( w)
Rd 23 North - we never beat this mob - no matter how crap they are ( L)

13 wins bare minimum - but disappointing
14 wins I reckon
15/16 wins possible and all aboard the tiger train.

If we can win the next 3, bring on September. BIG IF though considering how clinical they were in dismantling Freo. We did beat them in 2013, and 2012. I think we match up well on them. I think that match is what will shape the 8 the most.

Swans' percentage fell from 130 to 118% after tonight's flogging and they play West Coast away at Subiaco next week. A Top 4 spot opens up if we're good enough.

We were 10-5 two years ago and ended up finishing 5th.

Had an ugly ugly scrappy win over the Gold Coast in Cairns and then we beat the Dockers at the MCG to go 11-6

Maybe that's an omen .

Felt like a loss in the end after a premature weve buried a team at 3 qtr time. Very dissapointing :(
Maybe a little blessing going into the Freo game?

Just did a ladder prediction, admittedly I was conservative giving all the teams around us the wins in 50/50 games but honestly you're going to need 13 wins to make the 8 this year, Adelaide having that extra 2 points will help them if they find form. I had us finishing 9th with losses in the 50/50 games. We could find ourselves falling out of the 8, in all seriousness, and that lost percentage chance may come back to bite us. We have to win games against Collingwood and Adelaide to make sure of it!

The run home:

5. Richmond

40 points (10 wins, five losses) 112.7 per cent

Last year, the great escape saw Richmond power into the finals on the back of nine straight wins. However a week-one obliteration by Port Adelaide suggested there was little left in the tank, and the challenge this year is to hit September running. Doing the double over Fremantle by winning next week would be a huge fillip ahead of a friendly August, and set up a realistic tilt at the top four. There's no shortage of practice at the MCG for the Tigers, who play five of their last seven games at the venue. They missed the chance to gain some additional percentage by easing off late against the Saints on Sunday.

The run home:
Rd 17: Fremantle at the MCG
Rd 18: Hawthorn at the MCG
Rd 19: Adelaide at Adelaide Oval
Rd 20: Gold Coast at the MCG
Rd 21: Collingwood at the MCG
Rd 22: Essendon at the MCG
Rd 23: North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium
