Having been excited by his 2011 form and dissapointed since it would be easy to say trade him but...
Dimma and the club appear to highly value him.
Looking at our structure going forward I believe the club see this:

Vickery as our long term ruck prospect replacing Maric, the short term playing deep forward and relieving Ruck.
Griff as CHF and Jack playing off HFF and moving higher up the ground. This will allow McBean to get occasionly get game time and time to develop as key forward. There's nothing to say down the track Vick, Griff and beanie dont all share ruck duties during a game.

For me it's a question will Vickery come on to be the player we hope? Or tease us every few weeks

They'd be hoping Hampson is ready to rock within 18-24 months  as Maric gets too old.

If not (likely), we need a gun ruck. Zac Clarke has always floated my boat and might be ready then. Another name that comes to mind is Dawson Simpson

He simply doesn't have it.

Need to draft a genuine young ruckman for sure but as we have seen during the trade period decent established ruckman come up all the time. Probably just best to wait until Maric is nearly done. Still got a couple of years yet I would think going on his current form. Also considering he wasn't playing much as first ruck in the first half of his career at Adeliade his body should be younger than his age actually is.

True but generall first year ruckman take a long, long time to be ready

like Maric started to come good only a few years ago

hence, ideally you would want an older ruckman (like a hampson but not rubbish) and a battalion of young ruck prospects
