Sorry but I'm going to throw a spanner in the PC works here.

A number of studies suggest that the highest rate of relationship based violence is from women against women.

For example:-

And yes, it's not a one off and yes, plenty more studies have found the same trend.

No violence should be tolerated but perhaps women should start looking out for each other too

Very interesting, but I'd love to read the actual study reports, it didn't appear as academic so immediately you have to question the results.

On the point of females more likely to experience violence than men, well, that deserves further clarification. I'd also feel that a woman in a lesbian relationship would be more likely to report her partner than a woman in a hetero relationship for domestic violence.

Its tricky because you also give people a supported view that "women are just as responsible for domestic violence as men" when most every academic study suggests this is just not the case; that men are in 9-10 the perpetrators and women are 6-10 victims.

You blokes from the west should spend 5 minutes at a scum match before you think any WA crowd is the worst in the country. Spend 1 min with a bunch of feral saints supporters and you might have an idea what it might have been like near the animal cage.
I've been to games in Darwin, Subiaco, games against Port and Adelaide too and those from South Australia bring anyone from WA to shame as at least they understand the game to a better extent.

If you ask me its far too British & South African in the west, a bunch of band wagoners that are fairly new to the game and have no idea of either the rules or the tradition of the game. More than likely that wanker that hit the girl was no doubt more likely a stinking Pom.
