He'd be a great addition but hardly the "big fish" we're all hoping to land.

Would rather a kid called Jake "Billy" Barrett WP. Townsend not really doing much in the NEAFL but "Billy" is tearing it up there.

Richmond has reportedly set it's sights on snaring young GWS mid-fielder Jacob Townsend in the trade period which begins on Monday.

The Tigers appear to have missed out on Adam Treloar and Harley Bennell but are still a big chance to land Carlton's Chris Yarran.

"The Tigers are having a very significant crack at a young GWS boy by the name of Jacob Townsend, another one of these giants that seems to be expendable," Andy Maher has told SEN.

The 22-year-old has played 28 games for the Giants since making his debut in 2012, but managed only one game this season which saw him collect 22 possessions in the club's final match against Melbourne.

Thought that when posting the message but not the same really. At 22 he would have shown something by now.

Agree but is is hard to tell, so much talent up there you list don't know.
He's a good size and we may have a position other than an inside mid in mind.
As long as he's better than anyone currently in our botom 6 the I don't care
