This guy forward of centre with the ball in the space is the most frightening prospect for tigers fans. He's foot skills are shocking and his turnovers are killers. I'll give the kid some credit he's got balls and this comes through in his overhead marking but having blokes like him in the side isn't taking us forward.

Agree with this

Was another major disappointment last night

His kicking was deplorable

kicking from both teams was absolutely shocking. At half time l was thinking of just getting up & leaving. Dusty is the only reason l stay to watch you never know what's going to happen he is explosive  :snidegrin. if you were watching Townsend was injured in the 2nd quarter. He takes some big knocks. The team down a player don't help any. Too much overuse of the football we cause our own grief.

dont think he is smart enough to do the former without the later

Agree - but at the moment he only seems to be doing the latter....

Pretty good over head. Funny our inside beast got twice as many uncontested possies than contested.

Short with all contest possies :clapping

Another former Giant shows his wares

Picked for his first game of the year and just his fifth as a Tiger, Jacob Townsend could hardly have chosen a better time to put in a career-best performance. The ex-Giant was recruited to Richmond at the end of 2015 with the brief of adding grunt to a midfield then lacking a hard edge. As such, it was surprising to see him thrown forward with such good effect. Having booted just four goals in 32 games prior to Sunday, Townsend had three majors to half-time and was consistently found himself in dangerous positions. But beyond his scoreboard impact, the 24-year-old was clever with his leading patterns, clean below his knees, showed strong hands and tackled with intent. He finished as the game’s leading goalkicker with six majors and has made it hard for the selectors to drop him before September.

Townsend has changed the way he plays this year. He is still hard at it but he controls his aggression and when to use it. He is not rushing his kicks now which has helped his overall game and confidence. I see him and Caddy playing the role as targets in the forward line to assist with Jack. Well done :clapping
