The real point is Howe is a bit like the Grigg Houli trades. They actually improved the list. Yep they arent world beaters and we need to aim higher again.
Howe will improve an area as he is miles in front of what we have IMO of course.

Seems some think we don't have to continue to value add. It seems some can't get their heads around the fact we can and should go for a big fish, while at the same time look for lesser players. The two are not mutually exclusive.  There are no rules saying you can do one and not the other,  but that seems to be peoples thinking around here.

Some of us happen to believe getting just one big fish will do little to help  us get to top 4. It is the overall improvement of the list and roles that players do that will do that.
If Howe is an upgrade on say Batchelor then i am all for it.
Why do people think every player we target  has to be very good?. A player only has to be better in a role than a current  player we have to be an improvement.
We aren't going to go out this trade period and get 5 A Graders. We will be lucky to get one.  So how do we improve the list? Keep the status quo it seems for some and do nothing but whine about getting the big fish..

Very few actually bag our players apart from the usual suspects. Grigg Houli etc. Yet here is a bloke who is an improvement on what we have and the vitriol is

maybe some of us just dont think that a bloke who offers little more than the occasional spectacular mark will actually improve our list?

what has chaplin got to do with Howe?

No matter how bad you think chaplin may be, it doesnt change that howe has little to offer.

Due to the fact the laws of the sport, state you can only play 18 at a time

Cause you can then put a bullet in chappy, sens him off to the glue factory. And play the marking guy in te back line ?

It's not are watts, Sj, Henderson, Howe, Kreuzer  are crap or not. It's are they less crap, than te curren options.  Hampson grigg Houli Chaplin  and assorted mates

We should not chase an average player cause they are average

But we can sit on our pool of poor players, no problem? And continue to play them on wings or CHB

I'm not far off calling the CAT team. Nice knowing u all

North Melbourne has made a significant bid to lure Melbourne high-flyer Jeremy Howe to the club, according to Channel Seven.

It's been reported that senior coach Brad Scott and football boss Geoff Walsh are leading the race to try to get Howe to Arden street.
