per annum Chucky.....and that's 50 k less than what he was allegedly asking for originally.....

Well stuff me, based on that pay scale we should offer Treloar $1.2m per season

Howe is shyte....high flying shyte, but still shyte nonetheless.

/thread.
He's just a lot less shyte than our players who play a similar ROLES. Geez that would make him a pretty decent upgrade. In fact roles aside this year he would have  been in front of  25 - 30 odd of our players. That would make him easily a top 22 player.
If you think him an outright spud it would be easy to say  your opinion of most of our players would have to be scathing.

No he's just as shyte as them.....you're just enamoured by his big grabs.....plus you have a tendency to overrate opposition spuds just as much as some of our supporters overrate ours...
Name them IN CONTEXT AND AT WHAT COST.
I could reel off many i wanted which is most us  who have worked out, but i would only be accused of big noting myself.
The players i have put out there this yr to go after. Henderson, Carlisle, SJ, Plowman,Bastinac, Townsend, Hall,  Kruezer, Tomlinson, Litherland, Seedsman, Kerridge, With Tomlinson always the bloke i wanted most. Funnily enough Howe is not a player i have advocated we go after, i have just made the observation that he would be an upgrade on many of our current players.

No hes a  better player than many    on our list IMO of course.
Yes i like the fact he can take a grab he does it regularly and is a strength of his game.
Im never enamored by any player, it is simply a matter of Performance, strenghths weaknesess and the role they can perform.
No one is saying hes a champion but he would be a reasonable upgrade on what we have. Isnt that what trading is all about improving your list even if sometimes  it is only incremental improvment.
So hes APPARENTLY asking for 600k. he is or he isnt which is it. 600K is too much, that i can agree on.

Personally id have him at richmond and play him as a marking h/f flanker, at 190cm that makes him a real tall and a difficult player to match up on. The last season he played fwd was 2013  and he kicked 28 goals. That would just about make him our second most prolific goals scorer.

BREAKING: Jeremy Howe has officially requested a trade from Melbourne. Out of contract, won't be there next season.

https://twitter.com/AFLTrade

Bloody smart thing to do.  I'd get the heck out of the Dees, even with Roos they are crap.  Just as long as I didnt end up at the Bears.

I'd get wood over Clarkson if he coached us....

.....besides Richmond are best at beating themselves, so he'd be a good fit....

this maybe so

yet you succeed in missing the point, in question

its; "is he more or less shyte, that the current options"

reasonably fit, pretty good kick both sides, versatile (but best used as a forward) and is a quality mark. played all his pre-afl as a forward. could be very good getting the 3rd or 4th defender.
