Ill be surprised

So would I!

But nobody rated Jay Schulz and he was a very average player in Melbourne. Bloke clearly just didn't want to play for RFC.

Hopefully a return to VIC does the same for A Moore...

Andrew Moore's interview on 5AA ...

AUDIO: http://www.richmondfc.com.au/video/2015-11-09/moore-on-fiveaa-november-9

* Richmond are a fantastic club and it’s going to be great to be a part of. You see the massive fan base that they have.  The attendances they have in each game are pretty incredible. I can’t wait to get across there to meet most of the guys and get stuck into training.

* I caught up with Damien Hardwick yesterday and said that I’ll start in a couple of weeks.  I’ve just got to get a few things sorted in Adelaide and then I’ll shoot over and hit the track running. He just welcomed me to the Club and said we’ve got you here to play AFL football and to play that inside midfield role.

* I think where I play my best football is as that inside 'bull', I suppose you could say. That contested side of the game. So, I think I can really match it in there playing alongside some of the great players, with Cotchin, Martin, and Miles coming through as well. I’m really excited to play alongside some of those guys.

* I’ve had quite an interrupted career thus far due to injuries and a few other things that have occurred.  I’ve been able to play some decent SANFL football but where I found it quite tough, was to translate that right up to the AFL level. And, to try and match it with the guys that I’m running out there with. You don’t get as many opportunities for where I play my best footy, which is that inside role. It’s going to be a focus for me to try and emulate that SANFL form into the AFL.

* Obviously, I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Richmond because of my brother as well.  It’s going to be a privilege to play for them. I’ve met a few of the guys through Kelvin and spent a bit of time in the rooms after the games. Hopefully, he’ll be around the Club quite a bit now that I’m there.

Damien believes that as a coach, he has that X factor one needs to be able to
get below average players to play at an average level.
It's all in his favorite book, "The Laws of Mediocrity".
Is there a word for someone who loses sight of something that they never had sight of in
the first place?

A Bush?
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Moore interview:

VIDEO: http://www.richmondfc.com.au/video/2015-11-24/moore-excited-for-second-chance

Swift switch

“It happened really quickly with the delisting with Port Adelaide and then, within half an hour, I was speaking with Damien (Hardwick) . . . Very overwhelmed at having another opportunity and very grateful . . .  Really looking forward to meeting a lot of the older guys when they come back (to start pre-season) Friday and getting stuck into the training.”

Inside midfield role

“That is a strength of mine.  I’ve got a big frame and I like to throw it around . . . That’s definitely a spot I want to take charge of through that midfield and really work alongside (Trent) Cotchin and (Dustin) Martin, when he goes through there and (Anthony) Miles, who’s really come a long way.  To work alongside guys like that is going to be something special.”

does he seem to be taking it for granted that he will play seniors?

Well apparently Hardwick's already told him he will...

Andrew Moore on Adelaide's 5AA:

AUDIO: http://www.richmondfc.com.au/video/2016-02-10/andrew-moore-on-fiveaa-february-9th

* Each training session, it’s like a game for me. I’m trying to develop my skills on the inside and I’m working closely with guys like Cotchin, Martin (when he goes through there) and Miles.

* I’ve got to present myself well on the track and I’ve got to prove myself, especially trying to get into the midfield mix. I’ve got a long way to go before I earn the respect of the players. I need to take each training session, each game, if that comes in the NAB Challenge, and need to concentrate closely on week to week.

* It’s been fantastic.  I’ve loved coming home and getting stuck into training over the last couple of months. The Club and the players have been extremely welcoming and I’ve enjoyed my time there so far. I’ve got along really well with Dimma and I’m working really closely with Ladey. I fit in really well and I’m working extremely hard out on the track, trying to build my respect, but also cement myself through the midfield group.

I thought he didn't look out of place yesterday and did a few nice things - but my four year old son was doing his best to distract me from watching the game.

Thoughts anyone ?

He looked like a bulldozer crashing through some of those packs.

Looked like he belonged as did Townsend.
