He’s 28 in April of next year. They might get 4-5 good years. We’ve nailed this one
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

Daniel was Ch7 news tonight as part of the Suns launch of their new logo and atrocious guernsey

He admitted he had made up his mind to leave after his coffee catch up with Dimma early in the season and was ashamed of what he did or how he did it >:(

Then waffled something about how hard it was to leave Richmond and Uncle Maurice...but will confess stop listening to him after his comments about wanting out..

At least he played for the jumper and had a crack all year

Can’t say the same about the other three ..

It wouldn't surprise me if Dimma manipulated Dan enough and guilt tripped him into coming and helping him at the Suns after all Dimma did for Dan when he came to Richmond.
Go Tigers!

It really doesn’t matter, pick 6 and 23 are a more than fair return for a 28 yo back flanker

Don't wish an injury on any AFL player (ok maybe Daicos, Maynard, Dangerflop and Stewart) but Rioli is closer to 30 than 25 and it can go pear shaped from there very quickly.  Just ask Dusty and Lids

It was a combination of reasons that led to [Daniel Rioli's] departure from Richmond after nine years that included three premierships, not the least of which was a change in lifestyle.

He glows when talking about the Tigers, but for him and Paris, it was time for something different.

"I've been at Richmond for a long time, I've been in Victoria for a long time and I just felt like I needed a change. Change is good," he said.

"I needed that in my life and my fiancé did as well. That was the main reason for the move."

Spin it anyway that works for you Daniel. But end of the day you walked out on the Club. A Club that had been very good to you. When things got tough you walked out..

Ditto your 3 amigoes

Don’t throw him in with the other three

He tried his arse off all year and was professional

The other three were a disgrace … Bolton isn’t a surprise , but I would have expected more from Baker and your mate
