Impossible to play to this standard every week but he has shown improvement every season. I hope his next quiet game (which will come) doesn't end up with us putting our leather chaps on and demanding he be hung at the town hall

Great game tonight but I'm not letting him off the hook just yet. Needs to be much more consistent for mine. He still has patches in games where he simply stops competing. That's where his improvement needs to come from.

Why not?

Just think it's unlikely he kicks 88 goals a season, rucks well and takes big grabs from 60-70% game time.

The goal is closing the gap between his best and his worst, which he is making progress on. He's still got plenty to work on and it's just unrealistic to expect a performance like tonight to occur every game.
