The only thing that you have to keep in mind is Andrew Moore cost us nothing. Zero, zilch. Only his wage. They even expanded the list to 39 for him so he didn't even cost us a place on the list.

So he took up a rookies spot on the list but instead on  f paying him a rookie player wage of peanuts we have to pay him (at least) the minimum wage of a player on the list proper.
So what? It will hardly make a difference to our bottom line. There is no use waiting for an injury if the team feels that his big body (Tuck/Jackson) is what is missing. Once you elevate him from rookie you have to pay him the minimum wage anyway.  So I take the opposite view. Why waste a rookie pick on someone you think will fill a much needed hole? We need that person in the senior team.
Whether you think he fills the hole is another story. The coaching group think so and last time I looked they made the selections.

No so what, just pointing out that saying he didn't even take up a spot on the list is pure BS. I also thought Townsend was recruited to fill that hole

Hey, don't worry about what they are recruited to do, remember, they won't play that role, it will be opposite to what they have ever done!!!!! Wake up. .
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

Sudden impact: We rank your club's draft and trade periods

AFL.com.au
29 June 2016

EVERY club hopes its off-season wheeling and dealing has an immediate impact but it doesn't always work out that way. With the halfway mark of the season past us, it's time to assess who got their trading and drafting right last year - and who's paying the heaviest price for missing the mark.

17th. RICHMOND

Trade/FA ins: Andrew Moore, Jacob Townsend, Chris Yarran

Draft ins:
Nathan Broad, Mabior Chol, Adam Marcon, Oleg Markov, Callum Moore, Daniel Rioli

Impact on 2016:
Chris Yarran was hailed as the Tigers' marquee recruit, destined to lead Richmond into September and beyond. But from early in the season those plans were dashed as the former Blue underwent surgery on his foot. Yarran was then granted indefinite leave by the Tigers, late last month, to deal with a mental health condition and he has only just returned to the club. Andrew Moore and Jacob Townsend have filled roles in the midfield but aren't the type of players who are going to win you games. Nathan Broad has shown a bit as a key defender, while Daniel Rioli is an exciting prospect with a high ceiling.

Longer-term:
The Tigers may have been guilty of overrating their list. If Yarran can bounce back and make an impact at senior level, the speedster has the ability to add a point of difference in Richmond's side.
