what's the difference between an MP3 player and an Ipod, including cost-wise.  I need to be able to tell Santa all I can cause Santa's very ignorant when it comes to buying getting me a present.

Last week some guy on the radio was talking about ipods and he was saying Apple designed them to be simply the easiest to use mp3 player compared to others on the market. He said with the ipod you need to buy all these attachments or whatever for the ipod to do tasks other mp3 players include automatically. For example things like radio and recording. I don't know if the guy was talking garbage or not as I don't have one but that's what he said.

iPod's are wonderful except in the hands of cretins.
Guess who managed to delete her Itunes library with 8,000+ songs with just one second thought - or one second of not thinking  :banghead
Including my video clips of Brian McKnight - not a great rap for his music, but gee he's good to look at lol. When you get your Ipod Julz, get the one that plays videos and download some of his clips  :-* :-*
See you in a couple of months while i spend every spare second rebuilding my library  :'(

I refuse to get sucked into Ipods(the MTV of the PC/Mac world.

I just use a  Panasonic mp3 player that u download WMVs onto via real player.

I can have as many Meg of songs as my chip will hold (sd card)

Its as big as a watch face,so ipod can go stuff themselves :cheers

Speaking of ipods

I was in a pub with my son last weekend and there was a song playing and I wondered aloud it it was Nina Simone and my son dialled a number on his mobile and told me to hold the phone near the speaker. The phone then received a text message telling me what the song title was and who was singing it - it was Four Women by Nina Simone.

I was pretty impressed - then I'm easily impressed.

So your son had Nina Simone's number ;D.

In all seriousness, the Ipod might be fragile but the picture quality is bloody impressive going by Moi's one.

I have a iPod nano, I have an attachment so I can listen to it in the car, but I only listen to it when I'm at the gym  :P I'm quite rough with it, but so far it hasn't broken nor have I had any problems with it... touch wood

Famous last words lol
If you have a warranty, they pretty much replace it if it's stuffed.
If you buy in a pub  ;) tough luck lol
