Confirmed Matt Dea is the latest Bomber top up player

From Richmond Twitter

@Richmond_FC
Good luck to Matty Dea on his next go at it with the Bombers https://t.co/gRwaoZLi6A

"I feel like I was playing some good footy last year, it was unfortunate to be let go by the Tigers," Dea told essendonfc.com.au.

"I definitely feel I’ve got a lot to offer, and I’m keen to keep that going here.

"I’ll just be putting my best foot forward and trying to get around the boys as much as I can and just be ready to go"

Dea had signed to play VFL football with Williamstown this year and so believed he had a decent fitness base on which to build into the NAB Challenge.

Mark Jamar joins Dons as seventh top-up player.

They are getting some handy top up players and it will be interesting to see how they jell over a short period, but i wonder what would be said if by some freak chance they make the 8?

handy top up players ??? who fits that category , might be handy @ VFL level in a couple of cases but more suited to suburban footy the majority of them

most are washed up hacks, delisted & no one wanted them through either trade, as delisted free agents, PSD etc etc

Add to that not one of them has done an AFL standard  pre season

they will still finish on bottom

I said handy not stars, IMO would prefer to have Crowley, Stokes or Kelly over Grigg.
They probably will finish near the bottom, just putting it out there.

Better than grigg and Houli

I would think that Essendon would love to have Houli back right about now.

Would also think that Houli thanks Allah every day that he escaped that shamble of a footy club.

Perhaps.

He's not much better than Kelly or stokes

Crowley >> grigg

Then he grabbed two chopsticks and stuck them in his mouth , pretending to be a walrus

Crowley got dumped because he is a one dimensional player and Freo thought it was a better team without him. Can't carry one trick ponies anymore.

Grigg contributed a handy 16 goals last year and has shown an ability to negate a player like Joel Selwood. Makes him a pretty handy "C" grader .
