Yeah it was really "men against boys" wasn't it matty? Tell us again how Menadue, C.Ellis & Rioli made it "the worst side we could've picked".....haha stuff....

Next year they will be.

Be fantastic if they could play 15 games each this year.

But they will get squeezed out by the likes of Yarran , Grigg and Conca when things start getting serious.

They were better footballers than Conca & Grigg when they were still playing TAC Cup....

I'm really impressed with both - just confident, natural footballers who make good decisions and back themselves.
We need another dozen like them
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Menadue in particular impacted the game (positively). I would have had him in my top 8 or so players.

Has to play next week and beyond

l'm happy with the win & even happier that so many of the younger players stood up. The Tigers are on the right track & all our supporters should give them 100% support.

Menadue is a gun.  What a bargain pick. He is tracking as a top 10 pick from that draft. Just needs 5kg of muscle and look out!

After watching the game at the ground TBH i am disillussioned, IMHO our game style was shocking and leading into space was non existent. We played with apparent disinterest.
Hopefully will be proven wrong

I agree. I thought they took it too easy and got caught napping. They almost got a rude shock with Carlton playing their best footy in years.

Even the coaches can seen that 4 of their mids were bettre than ours. Oh the forum experts... :snidegrin :snidegrin

Well with 3 number 1 picks in the middle playing their best footy for a while, you would expect them to be superior.
Yet we won the game....

I thought there mids were the worst four players on the field, even worse than Hampson
