Agree Big Tone - Vlossy needs to really step up and do a job on Eddie Betts tomorrow.

Love this kid but this is a big game for him I reckon.

Which is a bit unfair

He's not a natural small defender IMHO, poor list managment

I'm a big fan of voss , we could use two of him

Betts is not your normal small forward either. Great overhead too.

4th season first round pick. 22yo.

Has flown under the radar. Taken before Danaher, Jacsch, Kommer

Yet is spruiked as a future captain.

Ellis is afforded less scrutiny.

Time to deliver.
he's a better Player than all of these 3....
Enough said.

But whatever not sure why I'm even bothering
To be honest we're not sure why either. 'Mr Value-Add' strikes again  ::)
I think he makes a valid point about Daniher Dooks. Why mention Daniher at all? We were never going to get him as he was a F/S pick up.

I'm not too worried about Flossy. He plays his role down back. I agree he needs to be challenged more and play in the guts though.

:clapping I knew most people would get it but Dooks proved why I questioned why I even bothered. Hates to be called out does Dooks.

It's not just about who we could have taken but comparing who was taken where.

Daniher was rated as a first rounder as was Vlastuin, yet one of the two is shaping up to be a star whilst Vlastuin is mediocre.

I expect a cracking game from him tomorrow.

Most experts said that Daniher would have been number 1 pick. Nobody had Vlastuin even top 5. Vlastuin is not mediocre. Don't you watch the football regularly? He had some fantastic games last year. I dare say he has had more good games than Daniher so far but that is expected because KPFs take longer to develop.

Good god.  :huh

So if you had the choice between them now you'd have Vlastuin over Daniher then?

Firstly I don't have that choice.
Secondly, did you actually read what I wrote? I said Daniher was rated as number 1 but he was a F/S so he slid to the bombers. I also said players like him take longer to develop and so I would have expected him to come on more slowly than Vlastuin.

It's an easily answerable hypothetical.

I'll take that as a no you'd prefer Daniher unless you correct me that it's a yes you'd prefer Vlastuin.

What's your decision?

I wanted Grundy at the time....

Which is a direct comparison - unlike a father/son pick.....
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Without any past anger toward Nick for anything, I believe it's time he stepped up.
Having said that, I agree with chucking him in the middle and allowing more for some of his natural
game to transpire. Again, it's a dimmer thing.

Daniher. Happy with Vlastuin though. Maybe our next captain.
