I wouldn't trade Lids.
He is the heart and soul of the club when it comes to loyalty.

The club needs to show loyalty to the servants that have served them well and have shown loyalty to the club.

That's what being a club is all about FFS!!!!!!!

You could argue that the injustice would be to keep him at Richmond for another rebuild and not let him enhoy success elsewhere. .

People wanting to trade the like of titch and lids primarily so the lads can enjoy some success before they hang up the boots at a proper club ...

How depressing

like I posted elsewhere

CALE Hooker has signed a five-year contract with Essendon.

The Bombers increased their offer from a four-year deal to five years at about $750,000 a season.

Fremantle, Hawthorn, North Melbourne, Melbourne and Collingwood were among many clubs to make a play for the best-and-fairest defender.

And no Richmond in there, dont even try, stuffn imbeciles so peeed off  :banghead

MAybe that's because Hooker isn't the Bomber key defender they are interested in  ;) ;D

Maybe

Maybe will we offer hurley under, as per usual

Would we get anything for Lids?

As much as I love the guy, it doesn't look like he'll be around for our next tilt.

Might be a good move for him also.

I understand where you are coming from; the window looks closed now ...

My concern is gws/gc look like dominating he next ten or so years. Then you have a host of other sides that have been building a young list for 1/2/3 years. Now... What's the point getting rid of our best players so that we might be ok side in 2028 ... I'm planning to b dead by then

I would be favour of keeping

 Edwards.
Cotchin
rance.
Jack
 Deledio

... would put everyone else on the table , see what is offered. I would too keeping the like of miles, grimes, vlastuin dusty unless if were a strong offer

Then again I still hold hope circus fc will sack Dimma and install and suffice coach / list manager. Might have to up my meds

Offer peanuts you get peanuts back.

Its exactly the mentality on not parting with anything of value that has lead to where we are now with recycled hacks from other clubs stinking it up in the yellow and black.

It's worse than that too ...

We can't get a FREE agents of any quality cause we are offering 70% of market value while other are willing pay overs...

 :facepalm

Wouldn't wanna overpay and upset the leadership group!! Chaplin might point at something in an aggrieved fashion

Martin 2010/11, latter half of 2014 > entire Richmond list.

Martin second half v Carlton this year  =/= Leigh Matthews.

Edwards at best = poor man's McLeod/ second rate Wingard with Greg Williams hands but Emille Heskey turning circle.

Training reports indicated martin was winning unprecedented amounts of contested possessions in intra club games as a youngster newly into the afl system

Mr hardwick in all his wisdom thought this unacceptable and moved him to the backline to learn tese finer points of the game
