Goodard and Dal left as free agents
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

how hard can it be to go past a middling side?
People seem to paint it or think we were a very good side at some stage and that is just not right.
If you stop evolving and are only middling it does not take long before everyone goes past you.
We have remained stagnant since the end of 2012 the 6 or 7 who regularly carry the side are now being swamped.

1 good win & they are on the Premiership path... they are likely to fall flat against GCS this week!
before this week they had been on the receiving end of some beltings....

After what he did at Melb Storm, I am not at all interested in Brian Waldron's opinion on anything
Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Waldron usedo be involved at RFC circa 1989

Yes he was involved in recruiting

Then went to the Saints as CEO

Then onto the Storm where he implemented their salry rorting program

He has no credibility after that.

The storm did win 3 premiership with him in charge. So he has a clue about what it takes to win it's just he is a crook like half the AFL clubs. Weagles drugs, Essendrug, Carlscums salary rorts. The list is long and mostly can't be named due to legal reasons.

They still got compensated pick 13 for Goddard and pick 25 for Dal Santo.

Lol trading lids isn't going to help much
You don't think if we got a top 5 pick for an aging Lids and drafted a Buddy/Judd/Dusty type it wouldn't help much?
I get you like Lids but he isn't going to be around forever. We could potentially get a 10/12 year player with a pick in the top 5.
Add that to our first pick for being pathetic this year and we have 2 top 10 picks.
And add that to getting Hurley for nothing and we changed our side dramatically and they will all be around with our current crop of stars to eventually contend.

That's right, and they wasted pick 13 on Tom Lee.

They didn't extend a career of one of the biggest duds to ever coach our club, along with one of the worst recruiters of all time

That's how

Due to the lids havin the body of a a spartan god, almost breaking the games record for most games in a row, being quite good at the game, other factors too. I can see him playing for a few more years. Even goin to a higher level, in a better team

If deledio was at a Geelong/hawthorn/Sydney i think tey play him in a pocket and he'd kick (even more) ass

It's apparently not a fantastic draft. I am not sure if tere is a buddy or judd in there. And less confident of us finding it.

Have a talk to Penny about the stats on landing a 100 game player let alone a superstar

I understand te argument lids is our only old player with any value  hence he needs I be traded. I just don't agree with it. I am in favor of topping up not rebuilding. The rebuild was Sposed to start in 2004 FFs wen lids was 17. We are now discussing him retiring.

Gws have 400 first rounders playing in the reserves. Other clubs like saints have bitten the bullet and starting again. Trading lids isn't going to make us catch up. Would rather build around him   Just my 2c, I don't like my judgement is clouded by liking him. Just what is more probable tigers winning a flag (lol). Lids and Hurley > some 17 year old nobody an Hurley
Then he grabbed two chopsticks and stuck them in his mouth , pretending to be a walrus

if lids wanted out then you get what you can and move on, but trading him with the unlikely premise of drafting a Judd, Buddy or Martin is stretching it a bit.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."
