The Umpiring HOWLER That Cost Richmond The Game In The VFL
This is a genuine stinkerMMM

https://twitter.com/7VFL/status/749492329170345984The game between Richmond’s VFL side and Casey Scorpions (Melbourne’s VFL affiliate) went down to the wire today, with the Scorpions getting over the line by two points.
The game was neck and neck all day, but was ultimately — and unfortunately — decided by a stinker of an umpiring decision.
At the 20 minute mark of the last quarter, Casey pumped a ball inside 50 which was apparently marked by Angus Scott.
However replays showed that the ball CLEARLY hit the deck before Scott had control of it.
Scott went back and duly converted the last goal of the game in a real sickener for the Tigers.
Richmond could only score one more behind and ultimately went down 11.10 (76) to 11.12 (78).
It’s rare to see a footy game decided by a single umpiring error, but this seems to be one of them.
Tim Smith kicked 5 goals for the Scorpions, while Viv Michie racked up 30 touches.
Jason Castagna slotted three for the Tigers, and Andrew Moore led them for disposals with 25.
