I have a question for Willy P - you constantly crap on about how people opposing the board know the issues but have no solutions - how the hell is that crap any different?

Without being pedantic what I "crap on about" as you put it is all these people who stand (which you conveniently forgot to mention that I've  said i have no problem woth) is that they constantly tell us whats wrong but nver present a plan on how they intend to improve things. Never tell us how they can improve sponsorship, what football expertise they have, what their views on governance and how they handle that etc

With the cureent mob despite all their mistakes (of which there are many with that contract extension the biggest blunder) they have a score on the board in  a number of areas they are a responsible for driving eg record sponsorship,  improved governance, record  membership, strategic planning etc.

While i know it pains people to want to give them credit for anything mainly due to the previously mentioned  contract blunder this board have actually done a number of things that boards are supposed to do and have done them well.

Does that excuse the recent mistakes? No it doesn't. Does the board need some freash faces? Most probably yes but until someone puts forward a real alternative and that means putting forward something other a list moans and stating what blind Freddie can see then they actually offer us nothing new. Put simply any person who wants a place on that board needs to offer alot more than the stock standard sook fest
Exactly WP.

I'm continually flabbergasted by posters, who accuse anyone that speaks out on any new push to gain power at the club, to be an apologist or something worse. They refuse to read what the poster is trying to convey.

We all would love for new people who are driven and successful to be on the board as long as they have a clear plan of exactly how they are going to make us great again. Anyone can say "sack all the bums" as they approved Hardwick's extension but ignore anything good they have done for the club.

For example, if a new candidate came in and said he/she had 3 major companies willing to bring in millions of dollars worth of sponsorship if they got elected that would be wonderful. If they said that they have had experience in running sporting organisations successfully would be a plus too. Hell, any major organization would be good. If they outlined ideas they had that could be implemented to bring in money for the club through investments etc would also be a bonus. Even if they outlined the skill set they have that the current board lacks would be great.

However we usually get "I'm rich" and have given a lot of money to the club as the only thing they can say about themselves. Of course there's the obligatory "I want to win a flag soon" line too.

Why wasn't OER included?
Why weren't we asked to join in on the conversation?
Are the members of these forums better supporters than us?
Do we even exist? What the hell is going on here!

The same reason RFC_Official doesn't post here. Surely you figured that out :shh

the biggest thing wrong with this club aside from hiring a woman to preside over our club, is they look at the past before moving to the future.

I have no doubt dimwit would have been sacked at any other club, but for some stupid reason they look at geelong saving bombers career as the catalyst for the contract extension.

to save face in the public domain they now give coaches more years than they should or deserve to get.

I wish we get pumped by 10 goals plus  for the next 5 games and no one turns up. Only then will this dud get the shown the door.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

A great president leads the club, we are in trouble.

ergo president needs to step down as does the board who appointed her.

We need new list managers and a new coach and a new direction or else it is GAME OVER

Mate, there is no need for this misogynistic bs.  There are some fantastic women leading major organisations successfully as there are men. There are some poor ones too. Many presidents have never played footy so it's not a requirement in the job description.
Just stop this ridiculous shyte before you embarrass yourself further. Being a good or bad president has got nothing to do with gender. I am a bloke too. Get yourself out of the 1900's and into the 21st century. Whether Peggy is a good or bad president is one thing. Blaming her performance on her gender is just embarrassing for posters to read. You're better than that. It's just not acceptable.

Please enlighten me if you can.
Did we ever get a reason? I don't remember reading the reason why they abandoned us but not the others.
Does anyone know?
The club that keeps giving.
