Might be a blessing in disguise...

Commonsense would tell it would be the final nail in Dan and Blairs coffin. But more likely outcome is a contract extension and pay rise with Benny Hill and Peggy Sue in charge.

Reckon Hardwick will pee in Clarkson's beer at their next BBQ if The Hawks steal him......not a chance. On the other hand Clarkson would be quick to tell Dudwick to pee off if it was the other way around.'it's why one is a 4 time premiership coach and the other is a hack

Deledio to GWS for Pick ~16 and ~32
Pick ~6 and ~16 to GC for pick ~4 and Prestia. Probably wouldn't get it done unless Prestia forced their hand.

We then finish with pick 4, 32 and Prestia
lost Deledio and pick 6
We'll have to be creative. I'm not sure if we'd get that exchange for Prestia, but don't forget we can trade picks from 2017 as well.

Yeah bit of a stretch but just an example of something that could possibly be conjured up. Not sure what concessions ect. they have and any other future picks either GWS or GC have. Also can try and use the academy to our advantage by trading our later picks to earlier ones in the draft.

According to Barrett tonight,

Hawks are going after Prestia and threaten to pip Richmond. Clarkson has already met with Prestia when the latter was in Melbourne for medical treatment. Hawthorn planning to use this year and future picks to land both Prestia and the Swans' Tom Mitchell.

Edit: beat me too it, pmac  :cheers.
He's gone. I just hope we're the club that have got him.
So your Hurley and your making yourself a cup of tea and there's a knock at the front door, you peek out the window and you see Dumma & Lard with a box of chocolates in hand & ones holding a brief case. Just while your contemplating answering the door you get another knock at the back door at you peek out the other window & it's Clarko & Ratten with a box of chocolates & a briefcase in hand.

What do you do?
Same scenario except your Prestia and not Hurley, what do you do?
The club that keeps giving.

LOL

*Our recruiters are poo and stuff up more picks than they get right

*Dont trade away our first pick on a proven player about to enter our prime (such faith in our recruiters is heartwarming)

=> said player is reported to be going elsewhere

* Oh woe is us, Richmond can never get the players we target, even the ones we dont want them to get to start with

Agree....go after Tomlinson & Crouch now....

Tomlinson be attainable whilst keeping deledio

Crouch would be good

The more I think about it the more I think we should steer clear ....

Clean this list out and start to bring in kids.
Kids that are competitive beasts. No more shy, introverted, skinny kids....

Definite trades, delistings and retirements should be- Lids, Ellis, Conca, Griffiths, Grigg, Vickery, Houli, Hunt, Hampson, Moore, Townsend, Marcon, Batchelor, Morris, Chaplin, Maric, McKenzie

Thats potentially at least 7 extra draft picks for this coming draft.

There is a few there that should get us some picks under 30 too.

Which still leaves this side for next year with obviously a lot of new kids to pick from as well.
Hurley should be our main focus in the next 4 weeks. Get someone to sell him the dream and direction that we are about to start.

Short  Rance  Grimes
McIntosh  HURLEY  Yarran
Menadue  Vlastuin  Markov
C. Ellis  Elton  Lloyd
Rioli  Jack  Edwards

??  Cotch  Martin  (we need a decent ruckman)

Miles  Lambert  C. Moore  Castagna

Lennon  Chol  Broad  McBean  Buttler  Drummond  Astbury

Largely agree

Lids would make the team significant stronger over lambert
Then he grabbed two chopsticks and stuck them in his mouth , pretending to be a walrus

From Footy Classified tonight:

Barrett said Gold Coast teammates of Prestia are openly talking about Prestia not being at the Suns next year.

Judd said pick 6 from Richmond is "a bit heavy" for Prestia. You'd expect something else in return on top of getting Prestia.

Judd also said you'd still do it if you believe Hardwick is the right man and back him in. If you don't believe Dimma is the right man then you'd trade players out instead and rebuild from the ground up.

Lloyd wouldn't take Prestia at pick 6 if he was Richmond. Prestia was pick 10 originally and you wouldn't say his value has gone up since then. Richmond's best players are those that they have grown on their own from early picks - Deledio, Cotch, Rance, Martin & Riewoldt - that's their top 5 players right there. Better to instead trade out Deledio, Vickery and Edwards and load up on as many top 20 picks to develop their own players. Chasing players from other clubs hasn't worked for Richmond.

Hutchy said Richmond should be chasing (trading for) pick 15 or thereabouts and use that on Prestia instead of giving up pick 6.

Barrett added that Hawthorn is sniffing around. Clarkson has apparently met with Prestia. Tom Mitchell is the Hawks' main target but Prestia is next on the list. The Hawks' order of preference is Mitchell, Prestia, Couch and O'Meara.
