You hope we don't trade Edwards for a first rounder or GWS kid? Are you drunk?

Jeez...take it and stuffing run like the wind!
The same wind that Cotchin should be traded/delisted because of?

No - this one's a lot less likely to blow up in our faces....

Gold Coast Suns coach Rodney Eade says Dion Prestia is likely to request a trade for family reasons

GOLD Coast Suns coach Rodney Eade has all but conceded Dion Prestia will not be at the club next year.

The 23-year-old is out of contract at season’s end and appears almost certain to request a trade home to Victoria.

”All the noise is that it looks like it (a request to be traded) is going to happen,” Eade said on Thursday.

“We’ve spoken to him and he’s sort of indicated family is a strong pull. I suppose like (Patrick) Dangerfield when he went back to Geelong.

“That’s a strong driver for him.”

But a trade is not as simple as it sounds, with Eade confirming the club would seek fair reparation for the former No. 9 draft pick.

“If that (a trade) happens, that’s fine,” he said.

“We will just drive a hard bargain to get compensation for him.”

He is not worth pick 6.
Not even close IMO.

Player swap only- Lennon maybe? Hardwick is here for 2 more years and refuses to play him regularly so may as well trade him.

We need to make some serious changes at this footy club-

We will keep pick 6 if that's our pick at the end of next week and still get Prestia :whistle

Prestia has nominated Richmond as the club he wants to play for next year.

Other clubs have been told he wants to play for Richmond. Hawthorn was the under bidder.

Suns will want Richmond's pick 6 but the Tigers will try to offer a later first round pick. How we do that is unknown at this stage.

Quite easily i would have thought, be bold trade a Dimma favourite for a late first rounder

Ellis B or Edwards will get you that sort of pick...it ain't that hard

Am I the only one not keen on Prestia ? Injury riddled, small mid. Not what we need imo. Could be an upgrade on bellis or conca but still, nothing special

Would hope we're at least perusing the GWS list for some nuggets....place is brimming with gold that won't cost the farm...although Moneyblair would probably still manage to only find more pyrite like Townsend...

Just think of it as a straight swap for Ellis or Conca or Edwards. Win win*

Tigers win race for gun Sun Dion Prestia

Damian Barrett
AFL.com.au
August 19, 2016

UNCONTRACTED Gold Coast midfielder Dion Prestia has nominated Richmond as his preferred club for 2017 and beyond.

Other clubs which had been bidding for Prestia learnt this week they had failed and that the Tigers had won the race.

It is believed Hawthorn was the under bidder.

Gold Coast has known for the past fortnight the 23-year-old would not be continuing his six-year tenure at the club beyond this season.

Based on current ladder positions, Richmond's first-round pick would be No.6, which the Suns will use as a starting point for negotiations.

Prestia averaged just under 26 disposals 14 games this year before a knee injury in round 16 ended his season early.
