A decision of little choice in regards to Hampson, no doubt Maric will retire and beyond that we only have project players in reserve.

Lloyd hasnt done too much wrong so deserves another couple of seasons. Is a regular contributor and seems a very driven type character who will do what it takes to become a better player.
So why two years with both. Both are battlers and i reckon a smart recruiter would be able to replace both fairly cheaply.
1 year for both, as others have said the other options are non existent and both would be decent depth if we managed to cover the areas in trades or even nd.
Last time i looked depth players get one yr deals and they play out of their skins to get a gig.

I'll bite, would a two-year contract mean we pay a little less than a one year, or give us an option to backload or front load and free up space when desired? If we both deem them needed (which I have begrudgingly agree with) then perhaps a two year contract is the smarter overall option.

I hope that the two years will allow them to trade after one. You don't have negotiating power if they are out of contract ... :pray

It is exactly this sort of view that has allowed the RFC to accept mediocrity for the last 30 years

There are options, plenty of them, what do we have to lose by playing them, lose approx 4 possessions per game, minimal hit outs to adv.

For gods sake man, wake up and smell the roses and be brave to say there are other options

The smart play would have been a 1 year contract for Hampson.
Absolutely no need for 2 years.
Was he going somewhere??

Rival clubs were circling. Balwyn offered him big money, for example.
:shh
I've played with better ruckman than Hampson at Balwyn.

Yes it's all part of our cunning plan to get back into the 5th round of next year's draft after we trade it for Tendai Mzungu.....playing the long game is ol' Danny Boy.... :shh

Great to have Lloyd sign up.

Hampson needs to be retained and revert back to his VFL/backup role IMO.
