4 Like Vlaustin, showed glimpses. Needs to be played in position and given a bit of reign to take the big grab and bomb it long.
Seems to be being stifeled, be it  his head and/or the way he is coached.
I still like him when hes up but
Probably like 90% of players and officials, needs to take a step up.

Chief Broom.

3.

Too injury prone and can't play injured. Weak mentally. Needs to impose himself more physically. Needs to kick the ball 70m rather than chip it Derwood style.
Is thrown around more than any other player. With Vickery out, has a chance to play forward and isolated there which I think is his best position.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Have been a fan of Bens skillset and his potential in the past - he's had long enough, should be shipped with Vickery, both will never amount to much.

Need more of the Swans game (where he kicked 5) and the Freo game where he was very good as the 2nd ruck (actually was our best ruckman that game- watched it again Monday)

2nd half of the season more misses than hits sadly

Showed marginal improvement

Understand why they re-signed him but unless something drastic happens in 2017 that will be all folks

Should've been traded but I fear no one was interested in Jane.
Hope he has a blinder next season but I reckon we'll get more of the same from him.

Played his one and only decent game of his career .

His highlights reel would be impressive and give an opposition supporter the impression he is a semi decent player.

The fact is a lazy , half interested and much maligned Vickery has consistently performed better than Ben.

As a KPP he would've had some trade value - now just another list clogger that we're going to be stuck with until they're worth nothing. Well done again Dan, Francis & Moneyblair. :clapping

If he does nothing else -which he most likely won't- hope he at least uses his long kick more next year, preferably in the VFL.

Its things like this that show up Hardwick for the pretender that he is, having one of the biggest kick's in the league at his disposal & not incorporating it into the game plan.
Absolutely moronic.

Interesting comment - how would you incorporate Ben's long kicking into the game plan?

Agree. Needs to be far more consistent. The Essendon game should not be the exception it should be the norm.

You'd need to change the game plan first and foremost. I would pass the ball to him near the centre inf possible and then get him to kick it to just in front of the goal square where you'll have Jack and Rioli and a few other crumbers front and square maybe....
Gives us a chance of scoring with fast ball movement. Something we have been progressively getting worse at doing.....
