Hardwick prefers a marking space coralling style defensive system so as a result we dont get close enough to tackle.
When we do our technique is abysmal, Doggies not only lay alot of tackles by closing space very quickly but a very large number are effective tackles which is something our players need to learn how to do.

If you ask one of the experts on here tackling has no bearing on a game and doesn't matter....

why do you constantly make things up, or is it really just a matter of having extremely poor comprehension skills?

How did you know it was you I was referring to.....says something really doesn't it.

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

88 tackles last night, lets hope they can keep that sort of level up, although Nank laying three is probably inflating our numbers

Great effort. See what happens when you actually find some assistants who are actually good,  taking total control out of a coach who isn't.

The forward pressure in the first half was the best I've seen at Richmond since Northy was coach . Brilliant.  Keep it up and we'll win plenty of games this year.

Matty What did you think of fellow sandgroper Conca?

I think he is due to ping a hammy after such a good game

Great bump Charlie  :thumbsup
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

Tackling great. Smalls fantastic > Butler, Castagna, Rioli etc.

Even Conca wasn't disgraced.

Thought Houli and Hunt were lucky to get games ahead of Miles and Markov.

Still didn't think we got rewarded for good tackles by the umps last night, we seem for some reason really struggle to get holding or dropping the ball decisions yet every time Georgie went near the ball he was pinged. When we tackle opposition players you often hear the umpires say "he attempted to get rid of the ball" when they dropped it, when we get tackled they say "incorrect disposal". Which is correct, seems to be one interpretation one week and one the other. In fact watching the Pies v Dogs game tonight it was different again, very frustrating.
