Think there will be more "outs" between now and the draft

More delistings to come  ;D

Well we currently have two free spots, will probably upgrade Short and our 3rd pick is 84 or something - so presumably we are going to replace them with DFA's & state leaguers or upgrade more than one rookie and draft more rookies..

Don't rate Lambert but if we delist him or any other uncontracted player before Andrew Moore then something's seriously amiss....

I reckon Geelong will slide.

Retired Bartel and Enright, traded out Caddy, and only really acquired Touohyhyh from Carlton.

Sydney will likely stay up near the top, Hawks might too given they got Mitchell and O'Meara to cover Mitchell and Lewis, Doggies will push for top four, Crows will push for top four, WCE might even have a crack.

Cats and Roos to slide out for me.

To be clear guys, its effectively Prestia & Caddy for 6 and next years 2nd rounder.

Prestia and Caddy for 6, next years 2nd rounder and 24
As 24 was traded in as part of the Prestia deal FOR pick 6, we effectively on traded it.

Prestia + 24 = 6 + 2017 2nd Rounder.

24 + 64 = Caddy + 56.

Means we LOST 6, 2017 2nd Rounder and 64
and GAINED Prestia, Caddy & 56. :thumbsup

Edit: Imagine if Geelong finish bottom next year  :pray

Not sure about 10/10 but the best trade period I've seen in a long time. Most around here lost their capacity for objectivity a long time ago it seems (perhaps understandably so) but most media pundits have been/ will says i that we're close to the big winners from this trade period.

Lids - Long been my favourite player, but looking at the how the trade market rates 29 year olds think we got overs here, not unders. Club showed some balls trading him as well. Geelong won't be top 4 next year (had a shocking trade period) and that pick will fall between 12-14 I think + we'll get a 3rd rounder from GWS.

Prestia - Yeah we gave up a lot, but at worst we're getting a B grade mid (who could be a B+/A-) for the next 7-8 years. Pick six might be better than that, they might not. I'm happy to take a guy with runs on the board.

Caddy - No superstar but again will be a solid B grade mid for the next 7-8 years. Is the kind of player we need as well (big inside mid who can drift forward). Considering we were prepared to give Lids for him straight up, pick 24 and having our 3rd round pick upgraded is a great result

Nank - Just a younger Maric really. Sydney fans i know really liked him. Has his limitations of course but I'd prefer he play rd 1 than Hampson. Again for a 3rd round pick I think that's good value.

Add to that the dodgy deal we did with Hawthorn to get Vickery's comp. pick, the fact we didn't pick up overrated 26 year old mids (Rockliff, Hatlett), and the fact we clearly shopped Lennon and Conca (clearly no one wanted them) then I'd say we did almost everything we could. We'll be better in 2017 and we didn't sell our future.

I was as prepared as everyone else to be terribly disappointed but they've really surprised me. Just the tonic needed after needed after a shocking 12 months.

Alot better this year then before ,but still we a gun shy and don't have the balls to trade out players who let us down and have value,B Ellis,Edwards etc.

Think you will get your wish

Cant see Moore surviving, nor should he

Reckon Short & Castangna will be promoted too
