Once you take Gas, Hall, Knobel, Kingsley, Moore and Hartigan (that's 6 already) Meyer will be competing along with other iffys Howat, Paddy, Krak and Schulz to stay. He's the youngest of 5 iffys and given the lack of depth of the draft it'll be hard to see us delist say more than 8 players.

He was given a one year deal as a rocket at the end of last season.
Do we want to do that again on what he has/n't show this season?
He had a pathetic preseason and it's continued through to the season proper.
He has gone backwards when he should have been progressing and shown zero signs of improvement or desire. Been over taken by first year players easily.
He does not deserve another contract on the basis of potential.
We have been down that road with Krakouer(and burned) and he showed infinitely more ability at a similar stage than what DM has to date.
The only rocket Meyer will get is if he's delisted.
Only then might he show some desire to get his career back on track and unfortunately that will be with another club if it happens at all which I seriously doubt.
Personally I don't think he's got what it takes to be a quality AFL player.
Wallace would have been bending over to play him yet he's been unable to force his way into the wooden spoon side which also happens to be one of the worst Richmond teams ever.
He's skinny(still). Can't win the footy. Shows little hunger. Don't know what position he's best at. Barely dominated a a game at the lower level. ???????????
Sometimes you just have to cut your loses and admit to a mistake.
If we can't trade him I hope the pretender gets punted.
